Your files are uploaded over an encrypted connection and stored encrypted. Only your account can see your documents and their Markdown.
We never use your documents or your chats to train AI models — not ours, and not anyone else's. When you chat with a document, its text is sent to our AI provider only to answer your question.
You can delete any document at any time. Deleting removes the file, its Markdown and its chat history from your account right away, and from our backups within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
PDF, Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), Excel (.xlsx), CSV, web pages (.html), and images (.png, .jpg).
Images include photos of receipts, screenshots, scans and handwriting. If it has words on it, AnyDocsAI will read it. Password-protected files need to be unlocked before you upload them.
Markdown is plain text with a little structure: headings, lists, tables and links. It keeps the shape of your document without the clutter of a PDF or Word file.
That makes it easy to paste into ChatGPT, Claude or any other AI tool, to store in notes apps like Obsidian or Notion, to put under version control, and to search. AI models read Markdown more accurately than raw PDF text, so you get better answers.
Yes — that's one of the main reasons people use AnyDocsAI. Copy the Markdown or download it as a .md file and feed it into your own prompts, retrieval (RAG) pipelines, fine-tuning datasets or knowledge bases.
The Markdown you produce is yours to use however you like. Professional plans also include API access so you can convert documents from your own code.
Chat is included on the Personal, Professional and Business plans, and works in any major language. You can ask questions in one language about a document written in another — for example, ask in English about a Spanish contract, or in French about a German invoice — and get your answer in the language you asked in.
Conversion also handles documents in most languages and scripts, including right-to-left languages and non-Latin alphabets.
Each file can be up to 25 MB. Each plan also has a longest-document limit: 3 pages on Lite, 50 on Personal, 100 on Professional and 500 on Business.
Monthly quotas count both documents and total pages, and whichever you reach first applies: 25 documents or 500 pages on Personal, 100 documents or 2,500 pages on Professional. If you need more, the Business plan covers 2,500 documents or 50,000 pages a month.
There's no contract. Paid plans are billed month to month, and you can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from your Account page.
Upgrades take effect straight away. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep what you've paid for until then.
Nothing is lost. Your documents, Markdown and chats stay in your account whichever plan you're on.
If you downgrade, your new plan's limits apply to new uploads only. Features that aren't in your new plan (such as chat, if you move to Lite) are paused for existing documents until you upgrade again.
No. Your monthly allowance counts the documents and pages you convert, so deleting a document after it's been converted doesn't give those back. Your allowance resets at the start of each billing month.
Deleting is still a good idea for anything you no longer need — it removes the file and its Markdown from your account for good.
Send us a message from our Support page (anydocsai.com/support) and we'll reply by email. Personal subscribers hear back within 48 hours, Professional within 24 hours and Business within 4 business hours; we answer Lite users as quickly as we can.
We read every piece of feedback. If a document didn't convert the way you expected, tell us which file type it was and what went wrong — it helps us improve the converter for everyone.
